In it’s seventh year, the Moshito Music Conference and Exhibition hits its stride, spurred ahead by the energy of the recent 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Indeed, during the June 11th to July 11th month-long event Moshito was already hard at work putting together ‘Moshito Does iDiski!’ – a programme of diverse live music shows throughout Gauteng that sets the scene for this year’s annual event.
Moshito 2010 will again make good on its status as the premier music industry event in Africa with a three-day music industry conference, an exhibition of goods and services, an array of live performances and free workshops.
What was especially noticeable at last year’s Moshito were the benefits of the many partnerships Moshito has established with the likes of the Indian Ocean Music Network, Equations Musique, Mmino, South by South West, Womex and Midem. This continues in 2010 along with new partnerships - like the recently announced one with South African Music Export Council (SAMEX) – all of which are aimed at providing delegates with the tools to unlock their business potential.
So whether you’re established in the business or a newcomer, Moshito 2010 provides a space to engage with global, African and South African music business issues, to experience an array of live music, music organisations and music goods and, perhaps most importantly, to make or re-awaken the connections that so often make the difference between just existing in this challenging business or bcome a success story. |
